CURRENCY and CREDIT CARDS

Togrog is the national currency of Mongolia. Bank notes come in denominations of 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000, 20000 Togrogs.

Blue Mongolia Tour Agency accepts the tour payment by bank transfer, Visa & Master credit card online before you arrive, Visa and Master card at banks upon your arrival, as well as American Express Travel Cheque. The tour basic price will be indicated in USD amount and, however, the payment can be done in Mongolian Togrog currency, USD, Euro and GBP. In this case the foloowing exhancge rate will be used:

In Ulaanbaatar city also American Express, Thomas Cook, Visa and Master card's traveler's cheques and American Express, Visa, Master, JCV credit cards are accepted at hotels, restaurants and shops, which cater to foreigners. In local areas – countryside only local currency is used. Therefore, when you arrive in Mongolia and before leaving for countryside, Please, exchange your money.
