ENTERTAINMENT and NIGHTLIFE
Theatre-concerts:
The world classic and national opera, ballet, folk concert and circus are typical evening entertainments offered to guests.
National Folk Performance concert consists of traditional full tone songs, dance performances, and khoomii sound singing (Throat singing), Tsam religious dance, Shaman's dance and contortion acts. Sometimes, the concert includes the performing of national clothes fashion show and opera clips. We recommend you Tumen ekh ensemble, Nomadic melodies ensemble, Moon Stone and State Falk performance ensemble.
During the Nationwide Naadam Holidays, some Operas like Chinggis Khan Opera, Temujin Opera, Choijid Dagina Opera as well as Morin Khuur Ensemble Concert (Traditional Music Instrument= horse headed fiddle strings) are presented to tourists and public. In Normal days there are concerts and ballets, Pop operas and classic Music concerts are performed at theatres.
Cinema theatre:
In Ulaanbaatar few people go to the cinema theatre to watch new movies produced by Mongolian producers. Today Nomin Cinema and Tengis Cinema are open to publics.
Clubs/bars:
There are the most popular and safe nightclubs, disco bars, karaoke bars and pubs are located in the center of capital and they are open until 4 a.m. Also the most safe and luxury bars are the night bars, which are at the biggest hotels. The most comfortable best pubs are recommended: Medusa Club, Khan Brau, Brauhous, River sounds, Hollywood.
